Jock Athletic Summer Series Biathlon October 2007
Our 3rd Biathlon Series is now over and again we loved hosting this event. Thanks to all who returned for their 3rd series and to those who were first-timers! A special mention to the guys that travelled in from Camden to compete – great effort.
Congratulations to Carla Grossetti of Cronulla (pictured) and Sean Parkes of Cronulla, our overall female and male category point score winners. Youngster Michael Fox, also of Cronulla, smashed the course record in Week 8 of the series, posting a time of 19min 43 sec for the 4km run and 300m swim combination. We extend our thanks again to Brad Whittaker and Sutherland Shire Council’s Beach Operation unit, for allowing the Biathlon to happen; Paul Cavagnah from the Cronulla Polar Bears Swimming Club, for lending us their lane ropes - the 6am regulars loved them, and to Brett James of T3 events, for spreading the word about our Series!
