The JASA training facility is based at Miranda, with training undertaken at venues with the latest in professional facilities as well as outdoor training at Sylvania Athletics Track, Cronulla Beach and Sand hills.

JASA Juniors

JASA Juniors is for junior athletes of all sports who want to improve their speed and overall running performance. Training up to three times a week, our JASA Junior sessions target:

  • Running technique
  • Speed and endurance
  • Agility

Our current juniors include soccer players, cricketers, hockey players, sprinters and cross country runners.

 

JASA Juniors is for everyone, no matter what sport you play!

 

 

 

 

JASA Juniors Pre-Weights Strengthening Program

All athletes need to include resistance training as part of their program to reach their peak! This must be done using great technique and after developing correct body alignment and postural strength of the shoulder, core and gluteal area.

Jock Athletic this year is introducing JASA Juniors Pre-Weights sessions. We will train and teach the kids perfect lifting technique, core strength, shoulder stability and gluteal control. This is a great lead into resistance  training when they are old enough and will guard against injury and help improve performance, whatever their sport!

Ages:  10-14 years
Days:  Tuesday & Thursday afternoons
Time:  4-5pm
Cost:  $100 per month for 1 session per week
           $200 per month for 2 sessions per week
When: Starts April 2011

JASSA Running Sessions


Monday 5pm-6pm @ Wanda Surf Club (For JASA Juniors and Senior Athletes)

Sprint & Speed Session The aim of these sessions is speed endurance and resisted speed work, which includes hills, stairs and hard work. Aimed at developing speed strength and specific running leg power.

Distance Runners Session Cross country training, hills (up and down hill), intervals, stairs and turns. Excellent hard training for distance runners of all distances and levels.

Wednesday 5.30 - 6.30pm @ Sylvania Athletics Track (our main session - For JASSA Juniors and Senior Athletes)

Speed Session The focus is on running drills and plyometrics, starts, technique and speed development. This session all about quality! Great for sprinters and any team sports where running speed is a requirement.

Distance runners session hard aerobic intervals and technique work, this session is about improving your endurance through hard work, and this type of work will give yougreat improvements. Great for cross country runners, middle distance and distance runners

JASSA Juniors Speed Session technique work, drills, fun and fitness. This session is designed to teach the skills of running, improving running fitness and having fun

Friday 5 - 6pm @ Sylvania Athletics Track

Speed Session Speed development, leg speed and technique work. Very similar to the Wednesday session.

Saturday 7 - 8.15am @ The Famous Cronulla Sand hills - FREE SESSION

Combination session this session is designed at lifting your mental strength and ability to push yourself. Great for sprinters and distance runners of all levels! Increasing their intensity of training without the impact of hard surfaces. Lots of hills, short and long. All Welcome.
